Taking a cooking class with Marti is not your average culinary experience. Healthful eating and cooking occurs on many levels from the physical to the spiritual. Her classes integrate the science of nutrition with the art of cooking as well as the mindful choices we can make for the plate.
She is known for integrating exercises like guided meditation, mindful chewing, and health-focused discussions to help you better navigate your relationship to food and motivate you in the kitchen. You can expect to make everything in the class, start to finish, and eat the meal together as a group.
Throughout the class you will learn about the ingredients and their health benefits, techniques, pantry storage, and knife skills. Ingredients are organic, seasonal, local, unrefined and unprocessed, non-GMO, whole and humanely raised.
